Transitions exist between slides, and are designed to blend one slide into the next. The default transition is the cut, where one slide is instantly replaced by the next. Other transitions are shown in the Transition List. Some popular transitions include sliding bars, expanding box, and more.
To add a transition between slides:
|
Select a transition from the Transition List, and drag it to the desired spot between slides on the storyline. If you have only one slide in the storyline, a blank slide will be added after the transition. A blank slide may be desireable if you wish to display a colored screen between regular slides. The Duration is the amount of time devoted to the transition. The duration of the transitions in the slide show can be adjusted as a group or individually. |
To set the duration of all transitions on the slide show:
|
1. |
Click the Properties icon on the slide show Toolbar (the top icon). |
2. |
The Slide Show properties dialog will appear. Enter a value in the Transition Duration text field. |
|
3. |
Click OK. |
To set the duration of an individual transition:
|
1. |
Right-click the transition on the storyline, or click the Item Properties icon on the slide show Toolbar (the second from the top icon). |
2. |
The Item Properties dialog will appear. Enter a value in the Transition Duration text field. |
|
3. |
Click OK. |
The Transition Duration is the amount of time alloted for the previous slide to 'tranisition' to the next slide. This will set the values for each subsequent transition added to the slide show - transitions already present in the Storyline will not be affected. To change the values of individual or transitions, right-click the transition and then select Slide Show Item Properties, as shown below.
